With the impending release of Gatecrash, it’s the perfect time to take a step back into the ancient past (last weekend) and see what excitements and disappointments you all experienced at your prerelease events. From first time Sealed players to seasoned commentators, everyone seemed to have something that brought a smile to their face. As with everything in Magic, there were the grumblers. Fortunately, this time around it was mostly just Gruul players reading the letter from their guild leader.
#mtg players take note. Im about to shower, use deodorant, and put on clean clothes prior to going to my prerelease.— Joey D (@Deathnstuff) January 27, 2013
The "letter" from the Gruul guildleader might be my favorite thing from the Prerelease. pic.twitter.com/o1DSOyaJ— Brian David-Marshall (@Top8Games) January 27, 2013
Cipher caused a little bit of confusion and some questions but overall was fine. There were no major problems related to the rules. #MTGGTC— Alaric Stein (@PlatypusJedi) January 27, 2013
Also, opponent put together the "can't be blocked by more than one creature" and "can only be blocked by 2 or more combo". Impressive.— Chris Allen (@psychicbattle) January 27, 2013
@RyanSpain My MVPs were about who I expected but I'd give a surprised "most improved" nod to Dimir Keyrune. Unblockable was good.— Inkwell Looter (@inkwell_looter) January 28, 2013
Somehow managed to beat two 60-card decks in 2hg with mill. #mtggtc— Chris Lansdell (@lansdellicious) January 27, 2013
Played in 3 #mtggtc events. Different Guild each time. Opened Domri in all 3. What?— Don Wiggins (@TheSundry) January 27, 2013
2nd place and 18 packs! I extorted so hard.— Greg (@uselessend) January 27, 2013
garbage in my winnings oh well— Kellen Huber (@cavemankellen) January 27, 2013
