Twitter action for Grand Prix Minneapolis was so solid that we’re jumping right in to day two with today’s roundup. Fans of former Player of the Year Brad Nelson have been watching patiently to see the fffire to win burning once again. They were not disappointed as Brad carved his way through the top 8 to meet in the finals with Christian Calcano. In a world of red/green-based aggro and ramp decks with Cavern of Souls keeping the blue mages down, they met at the last table with two blue-based decks. Brad sported a resurgent mono-blue Grand Architect deck and Calcano fired off Snapcaster Mages–even for the out-of-favor Mana Leak that came back with a vengeance in Minneapolis.
