While it may be difficult to follow up the largest Grand Prix ever, GP Miami tried to make sure everyone had fun in the sun and sand with more than 1,200 players battling out the diverse metagame that is Standard. It was two tension-filled days (especially that Top 8), but when push came to shove, Reid Duke did neither and managed to graciously win the tournament while being a part-time volunteer AAA servicemember and full-time good guy. In other news, Brad Nelson continued his run of Standard GPs, qualifying himself for a nice little trip to the Emerald Isle.
The way that Grands Prix have been going this year, if you aren’t at the GP you should be watching the GP. With that in mind, hopefully I will see some of you this weekend at Grand Prix Kansas City!

Lost my feature match to fall to x-3. Probably drawing into top 32 next round. Not great but after starting 0-2 I'll take it. #gpmiami

I like how @fffreakmtg covers the smiles when his opponent takes the 2nd mulligan playing for T8. classy, but didn't work so well! 🙂
