In case you missed it, or thought you were dreaming, Slivers are back!
I’ll give you a moment to get a new computer as you likely just broke yours out of sheer joy or absolute anger. Take your time, these tweets will wait.
OK, now that you’re back, let’s take a deeper look at what M14 is bringing to the table. Slivers are back with a vengeance and they bring with them all the upsides and none of the downsides. That’s right folks, these creepy creatures no longer buff all their other kin on the table; just the ones you summoned. In addition, now they look like us! Humans, I mean. At this point, the one thing certain about their new look is that it is a vastly different take on the Tempest and Time Spiral versions.
New? Yes! Improved? Well … tell me what you think!
(Sean) Do you hear that? The air is filled with cracks and snaps. It’s probably nothing. #MTGM14

I like slivers coming back in #MTGM14 because now the big new polarizing thing going on in Magic is only about cards.

Why do I get the feeling the #MTGM14 Slivers are Mirran/New Phyrexian?

Excuse me as I avoid playing Standard like the Plague until #MTGM14 rotates out.

I can feel a full on nerd rage brewing over new Slivers with added “you control” rubbish. They ought to call one Sliver Wuss!! #mtgm14

@mtgaaron Considering that like 72/76 Sliver creatures have symmetrical effects, I would say that yes, that’s a huge part of their identity.

I like Slivers when they are the epitome of adaptation rather than perfected evolution. There is a big difference. #mtgm14
