Andrew Shrout

The first official Legit MTG Pro Tour team had a smashing debut, with Andrew Shrout advancing to the Top 8 at Pro Tour Dragon’s Maze in San Diego. In his first Pro Tour, the 2013 MOCS competitor piloted his UWR Control deck to a 12-3-1 record in the Swiss portion. Shrout lost in the quarterfinals, 3-1, to Josh Utter-Leyton’s aggressive Boros deck and Craig Wescoe eventually won the Pro Tour.

Shrout told DailyMTG.com he played UWR Control because “I wanted to play Aetherling and Sphinx’s Revelations, and I wanted to be on Counterflux to get an edge against other Revelations and Aetherlings.”
