20 Tweets: SCG Cincinnati
Cincinnati had the distinct honor of hosting the first Star City Games Open Series weekend in a brand new Standard and Legacy formats. Return to Ravnica is legal and this was our first big event before States rolls around. Would Zombies dominate like everyone feared? Would Unburial Rites be a viable engine? Would Jace, Architect of Bankruptcy bring together a viable control deck, despite team SCG Blue’s insistence that control would be unplayable? Ah, rotation. There are few more interesting times in a Wizard’s life.
Of course, it also wouldn’t be a live streamed event without a little controversy.

@benc86 I am still thinking about the Think Twice play into Entreat the Angels. Was that brilliant or a savage misplay that worked...

Suddenly, pre-ordering 4 Angel of Serenity and trading to get Jace, Entreat, Tamiyo, Griselbrand, and Terminus seems like an AWESOME payoff.

@strong_sad You deserve it man! You've been killing it lately!

Cast Brainstorm, draw 3. Oh wait, I can't because of a Thalia.Randomly put 3 back to the deck. #scglive

Sweet ruling at #SCGIN Good job not awarding a game loss for drawing additional cards.
— Andrew Couture (@AndrewCouture) October 7, 2012
I'm I the only one that thinks Darby is getting a little special treatment here?
— Jon Hammack (@JonHammack) October 7, 2012
@drewlevin @scglive or just, I dunno, give him a game loss for drawing extra cards?? just a thought
— Dack Fayden (@RealDackFayden) October 7, 2012
New rules changes exclude usage of video replay in judge calls? How Luddite of #mtg to go in that direction. Every sport going --> replays.
— Drew Levin (@drewlevin) October 7, 2012
@hackeyesup That's not a game loss. Please refer to the IPG for a more detailed explanation.
— Jorge Pinto (@pintacso) October 7, 2012
Alright, I'm sure McDarby is a great guy, but how has he not had a game loss yet? Seeing a ton of funny business.
— Kranny (@kstube) October 7, 2012
@pintacso #SCGCIN what amazes me is youre assuming evryone disagreeing w/ the ruling doesnt know the rules. Its a bad ruling an needs review
— christopher cuevas (@spartan116chris) October 7, 2012
(Glenn) If the judge had believed David was cheating, this would have been a very different ruling; that is not the case #SCGCIN
— SCG Live (@scglive) October 7, 2012
@scglive (Glenn) No one has an issue with the rules, its an issue of the judging call and David knowing the outcome of the next 3 turns

@maro254 Average standard deck cost from SCGCIN top 8, $486! With a high cost of $622! Is this really the barrier to entry Wizards intended?
— Kurt Crane (@ArcraneDenial) October 8, 2012
SCGCinci was awesome, new standard is a great environment so far, but if you don't have jace, I feel for you.
