20 Tweets: SCG Invitational
Magic players qualified for the Star City Games Open Series Invitational event congregated in Indianapolis this past weekend to compete for a Pro Tour-level prize pool that dwarfs any independent tournament series hosted by SCG’s competitors. The usual Twitter coverage of the event was supplemented by arguments, insults and disagreements between some Channel Fireball personalities and fans of the SCG Open series and its players. Players and viewers showed up on Twitter to defend their SCG Open Champion Gerry Thompson. Likewise, fans threw heavy support behind series regular and SCG Blue member Brian Braun-Duin who ended up in Top Eight. In the end, Lauren Nolen took down the event, sporting a Delver deck in both formats and taking down Michael Hetrick in the finals.

@efropoker well it feels like the SCG tournaments are their own little world, whenever they say "in the world" I just hear "in SCG tourneys"
