Last week was Grixis Thieves, this week with the advice of one of my writer friends at PureMTGO.com, I started to look at Xerox strategies. I had a playset of Tarmogoyf sitting around doing a whole lot of digital dust collecting, so when I stumbled upon this list, I asked them about it, and they said it was a good start. While Swords to Plowshares does see a play in Vintage, outside of something like Young Pyromancer providing crowd control, it felt like Tarmogoyf was just a huge threat against the decks I played. If they didn’t answer it, I was able to cruise to victory. I went 3-2 in the league, and was super proud of myself for doing that. I guess for learning the format from scratch, Xerox decks aren’t a bad way to go if you have experience with stuff like Miracle Gro or Canadian Thresh.
