Last week on Puremtgo.com I started to show off some games with the sweet sweet Polymorph deck from Grand Prix: Kobe. I hope you were able to check it out, but fear not! If you missed it, I am continuing the look at the deck here on Legitmtg.com! We have some videos for you and a stream recap, so there is a lot of content even if it is not written. Let’s take a look at the decklist!
That decks looks absurd right? You have the tried and true way to win with Ironworks here, and that is casting Ironworks, and then cycling through your deck to find an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and hardcasting that. Where some decks have a backup plan of casting a giant X Spell (Demonfire or some other such mess.) this deck uses the life gain of Thopter Foundry to power out tokens, which can then be used to target with Polymorph. With this card I have been lucky enough to make my opponent face down a turn three Elesh Norn, or Emrakul plenty of times. That is why I like the Polymorph version. Sometimes you need the life or the blockers that Foundry would give you to survive long enough to actually assemble the pieces you need to win.
Let’s take a look at the deck in action. I have a playlist of videos and a saved stream for the article today, so I hope there is enough of the deck in action. If not, there is more on Puremtgo.com!
We’ll start with the stream recap
And here is a playlist of more awesome Ironworks action!
With that said, I hope you all enjoy the videos for today. Have a great Monday, and next week I am hoping that there is a possibility that it storms around here.
